Our next regular meeting is Thursday, September 19th, 7:00 PM at Magic Pizza in Selah. We meet in their banquet room.

Our speaker for September is Mike Tobin. Mike will bring us up to date on recent projects of the North Yakima Conservation District.

Mike has been with the North Yakima Conservation District since 1989 when he started as a resource technician and became the District Manager in 1995.  He grew up in the Ahtanum Valley and attended West Valley High School.   After High School, Mike went to Yakima Valley C.C. and finally to Washington State University.  He continues to attend every WAZZU home football game no matter what the record – GO COUGS!   As the District Manager, Mike is responsible for all aspects of the District’s Annual and 5-Year Plans.  He works closely with all local, State and Federal District Partners and the landowners the District serves to ensure that the District Plans are being implemented to protect, preserve and enhance NYCD’s natural resources.
