YFFA January Meeting
Our next regular meeting is Thursday, January 16th, 7:00 PM at Magic Pizza in Selah. We meet in their banquet room.
Our speaker for January is Daniel Didricksen, Fish Rescue Leader for the WDFW. Daniel grew up on Vashon Island near Seattle, WA prior to attending Central Washington University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and his Master’s degree in Resource Management. Danny started working at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) in 2008 as a biologist with the Large Lakes Research Team, where he focused on Banks Lake, Lake Roosevelt, and the Columbia River. In 2013, Danny moved into his current role in WDFW’s Habitat Program as the fish screening section manager. Danny enjoys working with water users to comply with fish screening requirements in a non-regulatory way. Outreach, education, and understanding what water users need helps achieve a sustainable outcome that protects fish while providing water to those who need it. Danny's hobbies include fishing, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. He will speak to us about fish rescue efforts in the Yakima basin.
This should be a great meeting! Don't miss it.
